Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Seasons' Eatings ("the app"), made by Evershead Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17454078, registered office: Flat A-D, 419 Caledonian Road, London, N7 9BQ). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data.

The app

Seasons' Eatings helps you track what's in season in the UK, plan when to sow and harvest fruit and vegetables based on your local weather, and browse seasonal recipes. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Subscription

The app is offered on a subscription basis after a free trial:

Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their own refund policies, not by us directly.

Growing advice and predictions are estimates, not guarantees

The app's sow/harvest timing, frost alerts, watering advice, and yield predictions are generated from general horticultural sources (including the RHS, Gardeners' World, and Garden Organic) and third-party weather data, combined with your specific postcode's forecast. They are estimates intended to help your decision-making, not guarantees. Real growing outcomes depend on many factors outside the app's knowledge - soil condition, pests, exact microclimate, how the plant is actually cared for, and weather forecasts themselves being imperfect. We're not liable for any loss of crops, produce, or gardening effort arising from following the app's guidance.

Frost alerts in particular rely on forecasts available at the time each alert is scheduled. Because the app has no backend to push updated alerts if a forecast changes after scheduling, a forecast that shifts between when an alert is set and when it fires may mean the alert no longer perfectly reflects real conditions - reopening the app periodically keeps alerts current. Always use your own judgement alongside the app, especially for anything you're relying on economically.

Recipes

Recipes in the app are original recipes inspired by named chefs' published styles and ingredient combinations; they are not transcriptions of any chef's copyrighted recipe text, and no recipe should be read as an official or endorsed recipe from the named chef.

Your content

The app doesn't let you upload or share content with other users or with us, so this section is mostly not applicable - anything you enter (tracked plants, notes) stays on your device as described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, original recipes, and crop-data write-ups are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app or its content outside of normal personal use.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UK law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
